Good ergonomics isn’t complicated—it’s consistent. Start with these five checkpoints:
- Seat height: Feet flat on the floor; knees ~90–100°. If not, add a footrest.
- Lumbar support: The chair’s curve should meet the small of your back. Tighten or raise it until your pelvis stays neutral.
- Backrest & tilt: 95–110° encourages micro-movement. Avoid rigid 90° for long periods.
- Armrests: Elbows ~90°. Rest forearms lightly; shoulders relaxed.
- Screen & keyboard: Top of screen at or slightly below eye level; keyboard close, wrists neutral.
Quick checklist
- Head stacked over shoulders (no forward crane)
- Every 30–45 minutes: stand, stroll, or stretch
- Hydrate; light matters—avoid glare
OUSHAK tip: Our ergonomic chairs pair adjustable lumbar with breathable mesh, making long sessions feel shorter.
